HIS 20 American Nation Kanakamedala Spring 2024 Indigenous and US Colonial Food Cultures Assignment #1

HIS 20 American Nation Kanakamedala Spring 2024 Indigenous and US Colonial Food Cultures Assignment #1 Due Sun, Feb 11 by 11:59pm via Blackboard:

Introduction:

Indigenous people to the Americas had their own food cultures and systems that came directly from earth. In what we call New York, for example, the Lenape would grow corn, wheat, and barley in neighborhoods we know today as the Lower East Side, midtown Manhattan, Elmhurst, Bushwick, and the South Bronx. But with colonization, not only did the Europeans murder the indigenous, they also diluted their way of living.
